As an insatiably curious person with a multitude of personal and professional interests, I have always trusted my intuition and believed that my diverse experiences would lead me to the perfect career path. When I stumbled upon the definition of UX design, I was drawn to its focus on understanding intricate processes, conducting thorough research, and above all, creating positive experiences for users. I immediately felt like my cultural capital, education and the life experiences that shaped my perception of the world would be an invaluable asset in the field.​​​​​​​

allowed me to developed a heightened sensitivity to diverse perspectives: being an Afropean has given me a unique sensitivity that enables me to understand the importance of considering cultural differences as well as appreciate the significance nuances in meeting the needs of diverse user groups and creating user-centric experiences.
My professional + Personal experiences
My diverse professional journey, spanning from being a flight attendant to becoming an account director for a travel management company, a nutritionist at WIC, a waitress, and a customer service associate, has profoundly influenced the way I navigate through the world. These varied roles have instilled within me a profound comprehension of the significance of crafting positive experiences for individuals, fostering enduring connections, and building lasting relationships.​​​​​​​

My passion for learning
My thirst for knowledge in visual art, UX, audio engineering, music, dietetics, and numerous other skills has been instrumental in my self-discovery. Each of these realms has contributed to enriching my understanding and shaping my perspective, empowering me to create extraordinary experiences that not only delight but also inspire users.

My Design training
Since 2018, I have dedicated time for my visual art and practice by:
1. Adobe Suite Design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, some After Effect, etc... learn the basics of CSS3 & HTML5, Intro to Python3 and Project Management Fundamentals and business analysis on Gale Online Learning
2. Created and sold notebooks on amazon, at stores and local museums
3. Recently (May 2023) completed an intensive in person 400 hour hands-on training program at Brainstation - Miami in UX design focused on research and strategy, prototyping and usability testing, user interface design, and responsive design. Through this comprehensive curriculum, I gained hands-on experience creating innovative and intuitive products that meet business goals and now possess a solid foundation in design thinking and the industry's commonly used software tools like Figma.
